What we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. Written to be read rather than to be survived.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter we store the email address you type, the page you subscribed from, and the wording you agreed to. When you place an order we store your name, email, phone number, delivery address and the items ordered. When you send an inquiry we store your name, email, country and message.

We also store a salted hash of your IP address with each submission. It is not the address itself and cannot be turned back into one — it exists so the rate limiter can tell repeat callers apart and stop the forms being used to send bulk junk.

We use no advertising or analytics trackers. There is no cookie for measuring you, no third-party tag, and no data sold or shared for advertising. The site sets two cookies, both of which are functional rather than analytical: one remembers the language you chose, and one keeps an operator signed in to the admin area — that second one is only set if you are the operator.

Why we hold it

To answer you, to make and send your order, and to meet the accounting and tax rules that apply to a business selling across borders.

If you subscribed to the newsletter, we hold your address on the basis of the consent you gave when you subscribed, and we use it only to send the letters you asked for. That consent is the whole basis — there is no other reason your address is on that list.

Who else sees it

Email is delivered through Resend, and the site runs on servers in Hong Kong behind Cloudflare. Carriers see the delivery address because they have to, in order to deliver the parcel. Those are the only parties involved, and each of them sees only what its job requires.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax rules require. Inquiry messages are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Unsubscribing stops the letters immediately and keeps the record that you asked us to stop — so that if the list is ever rebuilt or imported again, your withdrawal is still honoured.

Your choices

Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect as soon as you click it — no sign-in, no confirmation step, no reason required.

You can also ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. Deleting an order record may not be possible while tax law requires us to keep it, and we will tell you plainly if that is the case rather than staying quiet.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you want to know something it does not answer, write to [email protected]. A person reads that inbox.
